You can remove the carapace lid to set up the mosquito coil.
At the JW Marriott resort on Maikhao Beach in Phuket, Thailand,
these are placed in each room as mosquito coil holders.
(Sold for THB 1,800 at the hotel shop in October 2025)
This facility is involved in sea turtle conservation activities.
I purchased this directly from a kiln in Phuket through a friend in Thailand. I use it at my home entrance as a mosquito coil holder. Smoke comes out of the holes in the carapace.
